Hello All, just to say thanks all for your support. We have closed the crowdfunder now but will keep the Twitter feed going as we have a few more ideas for the New Year!
Have a great Christmas and New Year and catch up when we are refreshed and ready to go again! 👍
@helendoyle00 I completely agree with you Helen, we need MPs who understand the value of the environment and nature!
We need voters to start asking them serious questions on why they consider this acceptable!
Hello All
It is with great sadness and disappointment that I’m afraid we have lost our Judicial Review against HS2 and the Chiltern Tunnel endangering the Freshwater Aquifer and Misbourne Chalk Stream
Attached is the press release
@SylviavonHahn9 Hi Sylvia - I know exactly how you feel. It is beyond me why Parliament deem it appropriate to give a contractor the rights to damage a rare Chalk Stream provided they only damage it for less than 3 years! 😡
Our MPs are simply not capable of protecting our environment!
@MisbourneEP@PJennings88 It's dreadful. You should hold your heads high, you are on the right side of history. There is more to do yet to protect this precious planet from those putting profit first. Our government need an overhaul with our environment being at it's centre.
@GreenBunting@PJennings88 Thanks Catherine - it is certainly heartbreaking that Parliament and Agencies set up to protect these precious resources seem to be so toothless and incapable of protecting that which we all hold so dearly!
@MisbourneEP@PJennings88 Heartbroken for you all, and for our AONB. We must catalogue every single issue, and continue to hold the government to account over it's sell off of our environment to HS2. This battle is lost, but the war is not over x
My final thoughts…..we hope we are wrong and Align JV are right. They told a British Court they can Tunnel the Chilterns without damage lasting more than 3 years.
As bizarre as the concept of them being allowed to do any damage to a Chalk Stream goes….we will be watching!
And in terms of specialist technical advice a massive thank you to Dr Hayden Bailey our Geologist and @PJennings88 our Chalk Stream expert (and expert on a great many other things now) for all their amazing hard work!
