@_FlawlessPage I have mild dyslexia, so I read slowly (and often left and right just don't exist), but that actually helped me really appreciate the structure of language. I also suffered from panic attacks when I was younger, but I got over them (fear of fear is the cycle that must be broken)

@LFrostWrites My wife is a Siracha fan (kind of a spice, I guess) and puts it on everything. I'm not a fan. One drop, and it takes over like a lion at a tea party. Trust me. Some of my best friends are lions. You don't want them at a tea party. They like Siracha way too much. Ruins the tea.

Finished the sequel to Misfit's Magic: The Last Halloween today!! It's called Shades of Winter (84k words). One more edit round and off to beta readers. I'm very happy with it, but that's the hard thing about writing--other people have to like it too. So annoying 😉

@DarlingAxe When I write, I'm having fun writing characters, emotions, tension, messages, action, events, dialogue, etc of the type I love to read in books. I guess I'm kind of writing for me as a reader, hoping that somebody out there likes reading the same stuff.

@VastineB Books are both pieces of art and products. They have to work as both or they will languish. Word count is one aspect of product design. I'd say take a serious look and see if you can't condense and keep the artistry but make an appealing product too.
