Am in love with my @TeacherFFB machine. Is saving so much time marking and my A Level students love the detailed feedback that I can provide them. Highly recommend! #feedback#teaching#marking
Our year 9 geographers were out in Birmingham today conducting their very own fieldwork. Students designed their investigation from scratch and chose their own techniques. It was a great day and were a credit to the school. @RBAcad#geography#fieldwork#gcse#birmingham
Our year 10 geographers have a drop down day today. Students have settled in amazingly and are working hard to fix their knowledge gaps @RBAcad#geography#gcse#rivers#learning
Another successful geography trip comes to an end as we head back from our day in Birmingham. Students were exploring a range of different elements including the regeneration and importance. Once again our students were a credit to the school #geography#fieldtrip#gcse#alevel
Geography immersion day is off to a great start! Students have learnt about the different types of volcanoes and are working in teams to recreate a volcano, before watching a documentary on the impacts of the White Island volcanic eruption of 2019. @RBAcad#geography#volcano
Year 13 have been practicing their fieldwork techniques at Walton. Just arrived at the hotel and about to start preparation for their own NEA. #NEA#ALevel#Geography
@MrLGeo We do a 3 year GCSE for all subjects, we find it is the right thing to do for our pupils. We had ofsted this year and whilst it was challenging we were able to prove that we don’t narrow the curriculum and achieved a good in all areas.
Year 7’s went on a field trip to the River Lea today to explore if there is evidence of human and physical activity. We had a great day and students were impeccable #fieldwork#geography#year7
Geography pre-release day is in full swing, students so far have been fantastic and are working hard to fully gain an understanding of this years booklet. #aqa#gcsegeography#prerelease
@MrBNewborn@GeogAndy I agree with the above, one of my year 12’s summed it up nicely, ‘so space is the location and place is when a space gains a meaning to someone. Therefore without space you cannot have a place.’
Earth day celebrations are in full swing at @RBAcad during period 2 students were conducting guided reading on endangered animals or learning about the history of Earth Day. #EarthDay2023#geography#InvestInOurPlanet
Our year 7’s have been learning how to make notes from videos today. Being able to analyse and interpret what is being shown, and how to use this information to answer questions is such an important skill. #geography#skills#notetaking
Today we had our first immersion day with year 9’s. They spend the day learning about the different volcanoes and recreating the eruptions. Feedback from the students is overwhelming positive. Massive well done to all those involved! #volcanoes#geography#eruptions
