A girl in Year 6 has found out I find “Karen” memes amusing. Ever since, whenever she needs help in class, she puts her hand up and asks if she can speak to the manager.

When teaching slavery, try to replace the term ‘slave’ with Enslaved Africans. Using the term Enslaved Africans provides more of an identity and reinforces that their culture, identity etc was stolen and robbed.
