I often struggle to do formative assessments in class beyond exit tickets. I’ve been looking into Socrative, and I think it would be a great interactive way to check understanding! I hope to include it in more lessons #techinpedagogy#computationalthinker https://t.co/THYVNFoLX1
When teaching students about finding good sources, this would be a great lesson! You could have them summarize key information, search for bias, and think about audiences all in the webpage! They’ll gain media literacy through exploring #techinpedagogy#knowledgeconstructor
Check out https://t.co/jEzt8qDIng! This extension to your chrome browser can turn a webpage into a lesson you can customize for your students! Have them summarize text, ask questions, insert videos, and more! #techinpedagogy#knowledgeconstructor
This would be a wonderful tool to incorporate into any lesson. Have students discuss the decisions they made with peers and have them write about their experiences. I feel it would open up important discussions for middle schoolers that they usually ignore #techinpedagogy
When searching for a way to have my middle school students become a good #DigitalCitizen, I came across the fabulous Digital Compass from Common Sense Media! #techinpedagogy

By using a choose your own adventure style story students can make decisions for characters struggling with problems that can arise from using social media. There are multiple different stories to play through and it shows consequences without risk #techinpedagogy#DigitalCitizen
@missmegfoster Hi Meghan! I love using Nearpod for my middle schoolers. It’s such an interactive way to teach lessons. When you can put in stops and quizzes and interactive things, it makes it so much more engaging than regular presentations!
Has anybody else seen the new tech tool @classtag? SO fabulous! Create a digital classroom with open and easy dialogue between parents and students, send out reminders with ease, and set up events all in one place! And it’s FREE 🤩 Can’t wait to try next year! #techinpedagogy
I was thinking how great this would be to set up reminders for my middle schoolers. So many of them forget to check google classroom and things can get lost in the shuffle. Using this would allow them to check off tasks and have reminders sent to them. Brilliant! #techinpedagogy
I’ve been playing around in their demo classroom, and it’s so cool! You can communicate with parents through digital messages in whatever way a parent wants, and it translates messages into their preferred language #techinpedagogy
