@MsQEdu @WriteTeachChat I think writing samples are the greatest way to show a student's progress. A progression of a numerical grade is useful for data purposes but for speaking with parents I think actual work samples would be best to discuss a students progress. #WriteTeachChat

@WriteTeachChat A3. No, attendance is a complicated issue because it may be out of the student's control if they make it to school on time or at all. Behavior is subjective; what a student can get away with in one class, they can not in another. How could we grade that? #WriteTeachChat

@MissDEdu @WriteTeachChat LOVE! I think it would be very unproductive if the teacher did all the talking during a conference, that would defeat the purpose of the conference to begin with. It's also important that there is a reasonable balance between critiques and affirmations. #WriteTeachChat
