What a week! 😍
I have loved starting the 'stop and go thoughts' section of the 'Feeling's Detectives' programme.
Some networking at the beginning of the week with @CharlotteAmpso1
My first DSL network meeting later on today 🥳
Managed to squeeze in lots of interventions too🤩
Our weekly sensory bus visits are going down a treat and these worry worms which they offer are proving to be very popular. Thank you to Mrs Taylor for making our very own worry worms 🥳🙃
Our first parent coffee morning of the new year! ☕️🍰
Mrs Duncan kindly made us some delicious cakes again and we had 3 visitors from the Mental Health Support Team sharing their expertise and giving advice to all 🥰
Grief and loss Christmas morning💜
- Memory baubles
- Support network paper chains - each chain represents someone to go to when/if feeling upset
- Feelings biscuits - discussed that Christmas may be a time of mixed feelings
- Hot chocolate and our new book 'Grandad'
Resources added to my folder of prompts to gain the voice of the child.I sometimes use these as the initial idea and then run with it like we made an actual wand for the 'What would you like to change?'document and it gave a good topic of conversation at the same time. #reachout
Happy Monday 💜
👃👂👀🖐️👄
Here is a session from last week - teaching children how to use their 5 senses to calm, relax and distract themselves from those big feelings by going on a sense's scavenger hunt.
Our #minipolice have been out on playground patrol identifying those being kind and handing out kindness certificates 🥳👏🤩@LincsPoliceEdu
#antibullyingweek2022
Useful course with Healthy Minds today about nurturing wellbeing.
A reminder that school staff are expected to be ‘superhuman’ in terms of their own feelings but in order to meet the SEMH needs of young people it is essential we look after our own mental health too. 🤩💜
Another mission for #AntiBullyingWeek is for each class to colour a section of the rainbow every time someone 'reaches out'.
'While talking to people about how you are feeling can feel uncomfortable, it can help give the support you need'🌈🌈🌈
A lovely, informative morning had by all (plus yummy treats) 🤩💜We received some great feedback again and our numbers of parents who attended have also increased! Bring on the next one #workingtogether
Looking forward to our second parent coffee morning today with Helen Lane from Dyslexia Outreach! Check out the yummy cakes which have been kindly made by Mrs Duncan 😋 Come and join us at 9am @WybertonPrimary@InfinityAcad
