Some people are genuinely surprised when they learn that strike days are unpaid. Maybe that misunderstanding is where some of the resentment comes from.

Teachers don't get paid if we strike. It's financially tough and never an easy choice but we're fighting for our schools.

@helenjwc As a second year ECT I definitely would, I work in a fantastic school and love my job so much! Yes there are frustrations but I couldn’t imagine doing anything else!

@missmurdochx @PrimaryThoughts @Alexieshaw @MrTs_NQTs I saw an idea where they said things they haven’t done, possibly in a poem, e.g. I didn’t fly to the moon and have tea with aliens, I didn’t swim to the bottom of the ocean for breakfast with the mermaids etc. Finishing with “but I did….” So they tell you one thing they did do
