Injuries have ruled out Middlesbrough duo Alan Browne & Alex Gilbert, while Southampton pair Finn Azaz & Ryan Manning have also been forced to withdraw. Strasbourg defender Andrew Omobamidele will also miss the window through injury
To manage the squad across the two fixtures in Dublin & Montreal, several players have been added to the group with specific availability:
🇶🇦 Qatar only: Defender Dara O’Shea & midfielder Jack Moylan return to the squad for the home fixture only. Caoimhín Kelleher will also be available for the Qatar match only
🇨🇦 Canada only: Charlton Athletic midfielder Conor Coventry & Bohemians’ Dawson Devoy will link up with the squad later this week specifically for the trip to Canada
Both Fixtures: Hibernian midfielder Jamie McGrath and St. Mirren’s Killian Phillips have been called up for the duration of the international window
Hibernian striker Owen Elding will also remain with the squad for training purposes throughout the window. Elding will integrate with the senior environment while the final stages of his citizenship process is completed ☘️
🚨REPORT: The 2030 World Cup will feature a two tier qualification process where major countries will no longer play minor ones
The top 36 countries will be drawn into groups of 12 teams, the other 18 nations will play a separate tournament
UEFA confirm the Nations League will transition from the current four leagues to three leagues of 18 teams. New format to begin in 2028/29.
Leagues will be composed of three groups of six teams playing six matches against five different opponents.
However, with 55 teams participating, League C will include one group of seven teams, whose calendar will start one window earlier.
Quarter-finals, 'Final Four' and promotion/relegation playoffs will remain unchanged.
The concept will be fine-tuned over the next few months before being submitted for final approval at the next Executive Committee meeting in September.🏆

UEFA have confirmed a major revamp of the Nations League format, set to come into effect from the 2028/29 campaign.
The competition will move from four leagues to three leagues of 18 teams. Each league will be split into three groups of six, with nations playing six matches against six different opponents rather than traditional home-and-away group fixtures.
League C will operate slightly differently, featuring one group of seven teams to ensure all 55 UEFA nations can be accommodated. Those fixtures will begin one international window earlier than the rest of the competition.
One of the biggest changes is that Europe’s top-ranked nations will no longer face the lowest-ranked sides in men’s European qualification pathways.
New structure:
• League 1: Top 36 nations split into three groups of 12, playing six matches against six different countries. The highest-ranked teams qualify automatically for major tournaments.
• Remaining sides drop into League 2, where nations can still qualify through the play-off system.
The quarter-finals, Final Four and promotion/relegation play-offs will remain in place.
UEFA are expected to finalise the finer details over the coming months before the format is officially approved at the UEFA Executive Committee meeting in September.
