In English, Year 3 are reading ‘The Iron Man’. We used the dictionary to find meanings of new words that are in our Vehicle Text @LiteracyCounts1 @MissWilliamsMLP 🌈

In music, we watched the video ‘Soar’ and then created a storyboard. Thinking about the important parts of the video. This will then help us to write some lyrics about the song that we will perform to the song ‘Diamonds’ by Rihanna 🎵 @MabLaneMusic @MrsBriggsMLP 🌈

In hockey 🏑, we continued practising control with the stick and ball! Then we played a small 3v3 game and discussed the importance of attacking and defending. The children worked really hard to score goals 🥅 @MabLanePE @MabLanePri 🌈

Year 3 had a lovely day making soup 🥣 we cut, peeled, grated vegetables and then put them into a soup machine to cook 🧑‍🍳 🥦🥔🍞 finally we tasted our soup and found that Leek & Potato was our favourite @MrsSnapeMLP @MabLanePri #TryingNewFoods 🌈

In History, we had a wonderful lesson learning about what the Ancient Egyptians did and believed after a person died ⚰️🏺⚱️we then made the human organs and put them into the correct canopic jars @MrsMwasileMLP @MabLanePri #OnlyTheBest

In Maths, we have been using the Mab Lane Fluency Maths Games 🌈 we enjoyed racing against our friends and practising our mental addition and subtraction @MrScarrMLP @MabLanePri #OnlyTheBest

In Music we listened to Space Oddity by David Bowie. We liked how the song repeated lines and looked at the lyrics @MabLanePri 🌈 🎵 @MabLaneMusic

POWER session 1💥 @Liverpool_SSP Kate came into school to teach us about our bodies and the different muscles. We found our heartbeat 🫀 and learnt about how it goes faster when we exercise @MabLanePE @MrsBriggsMLP 🌈

Week 2 Hockey 🏑 this week we focused on dribbling the ball. We dribbled around cones, from one end of the hall to another and then had to dribble through the “goals” 🥅 🌈 #OnlyTheBest @MabLanePE @MabLanePri

Week 1 Hockey 🏑 we discussed the main rules of hockey and how to stay safe when using equipment. Then we focused on controlling the ball and keeping it close to the stick 🌈 @MabLanePE @MabLanePri

Ready, set, NERF! This was the best start to our day, the children (and adults) had so much fun playing zombies and civilians, although the adults seemed to be targeted more than the zombies! Thank you so much @MissGrovesMLP @MabLanePri

In science, we used microscopes to look at everyday objects. The children loved looking through the microscopes and zooming in. We then used the laptops to look at animals such as spiders and a humans eye @MissNelsonMLP @advisoryscience 🔬🔬🔬@MabLanePri
