A huge thanks to Twitter for this idea. My form class absolutely loves our Achievement Jar - every Friday Week 2, we spend 5 minutes of form time writing down what they have achieved in that fortnight. Name & date on each one, to be looked at on last day of Y8. I do it, too!

@McDonaldsUK at Simonside drive thru 7pm tonight when we heard a supervisor speaking horrendously to the employees on shift. Shouting at them to “do their jobs” in the most derogatory way. Please teach employees basic people skills before giving them management responsibility.

@Kmst1Smoczynski @MrAlexRiley @Team_English1 That’s such a shame! I think a lot of people are quite surprised but we take the approach that Shakespeare is Shakespeare. We do a ‘whoosh’ so they know the plot but it also means we can tailor it so it’s suitable for their age. 🙂

I’m saddened by the sheer amount of it. If people actually believe we’ve done nothing/enjoyed our ‘time off’ or whatever other ridiculous nonsense they’re spouting, it just goes to show why our profession is vastly underrated. If it’s that easy - go into teaching yourself? 😡 2/2

I absolutely and completely empathise with and support the outrage that nurses were not included in the pay rise tweet sent out by Boris Johnson earlier. What I don’t agree with is the relentless teacher bashing I’ve seen all day, even from people I’m Facebook ‘friends’ with. 1/2

Just managed to watch @FunkyPedagogy’s Short Stories CPD in full after I missed the first half due to ‘return to school’ meetings with my form. Wow. I can’t wait to get back in a classroom to teach writing again! Such a huge range of ideas - thank you!

@ASOS_HeretoHelp Hi, I ordered these in what I thought was a women’s 6 the other day but they arrived as a men’s 6 and women’s 8. I’d really like to reorder a women’s 5.5 - how can I ensure I’m getting the women’s ones please? They come up the exact same for both genders. Thanks!

After a discussion this morning, wondering what people would prefer to happen with 2021 exams.

1- have a chance to opt out of some content
2- exam boards give a list of possible questions to direct teaching
3- no changes and shift boundaries
4- something else
