The NPA Level 6 Hospitality team has their first evening event next week: "12 Days of Christmas!" I'm so proud and excited for them - if you would like to book, get on it quickly! Spaces are limited and bookings need to be in by 9th to secure your space. @OldieHWB@oldmachar
Oma Kitchens delivery subscriptions have increased with the colder weather. Today students were making sure to have alternative options for our members who have dietary requirements. C was very chuffed with the special GF batch of cupcakes! Well done L6Hosp @OldieHWB@oldmachar
Weekend Watching: My amazing brother, Max, has pushed himself to the limit yet again to help support the wonderful wee Blake who has Duchenne Disease. https://t.co/HwYiKo1Pu1

Massive thank you Chef Mike Gray and @MrsHoweyHE who came to work with our Level 6 Hospitality and provide feedback on their development dishes as for their events. I was bursting with pride over their creativity, teamwork and organisation. Event info coming soon
Level 5 hospitality hosted their first event of the year with our Annual Macmillan coffee morning! Everyone did such a great job - well done Oma Kitchens!
Our Aberdeen Coastal Environmentalists were on a litter mission today in the sun! 2 bags filled in just 10 minutes!
Pupils recorded the most common waste then disposed of it properly so it couldn't be carried down to our beach front by the Northern winds.
The L5 Hospitality class has been working on beverage making as part of their FOH skills unit.
Some incredible mocktail recipes came to life today as worked on tasting and balancing flavours.
@oldmachar
A+ teamwork in action!
Our L6 Hospitality teams are creating their own theme nights and today tested some recipes. Team JJL will be bringing a very interesting starter to the table for the OMA Kitchens Burn's supper 2025. @OldieHWB
L5 hospitality have been working on their beverage knowledge for their FOH unit and were focusing on hot beverages today. We discussed different kinds of coffee filter systems used in industry before making hot chocs and considering upselling opportunities @oldmachar
Huge well done to our new baristas Keira and Daniel for their amazing efforts during our Saturday open doors. Big shout out to one of our OG baristas Callum for showing how it's done! @oldmachar
Huge thanks to Mr Drage (one of our L6 Hospitality student's Dad) who has laser cut our school logo for our baristas to add a special touch to the beverages they are serving! @oldmachar
All my thoughts are with the kids across the country getting results. Whatever today may bring; know that you are one of a kind, you bring your own uniqueness to the world and you're going to do great things.
A huge, massive thank you to the lovely staff at Landmark and our bus drivers for the week. After 880 miles, 140 students, 6 teachers, 2 bus drivers and 5 days of fun it's time for our summer holidays! Over & Out!
A very focused bus journey for the last day with the world's most infuriating puzzle. No one has gotten higher than 18 this whole week. Let's see if anyone can beat that today. #OldmacharActivitiesWeek2024
Landmark day 1 was a great success! Fears were faced, rain was ran in and songs were sang! Huge thanks to Mrs Hogg & Mr Ramsay for all their help and of course Dennis our amazing driver and the fantastic staff at Landmark. Now to do it all again tomorrow with a different group!
The absolute sheer pride I have in all our dancing kids, (past, present and hopefully future) is immense! What an incredible show this evening @OldieHWB@oldmachar#scottschoolofdancing
Huge thank you and well done to Cal for coming into school at 0730 to serve freshly barista-ed coffees.
Cal worked on customer comms skills serving & chatting with ACC head teachers. Special mention for Kai who has now graduated but came back to help regardless! @oldmachar
