We had The Rowett Institute visit our school to support with the curriculum delivery for Home Economics. One of the activities completed by the pupils involved using tools and platforms to analyse meals and their nutritional values. Thank you @rowett_abdn !

At our inset session today we used the driving question 'How can we, as teachers at Harlaw, ensure a high quality questioning culture across our school?' We used lots of Oracy strategies to aid discussion and model good questioning techniques such as Talk Moves to deepen thinking
S1 classes have demonstrated their understanding of the importance of safety while using the grills. From the evidence of crumbs left in the kitchen, I doubt many learners had anything to take home, so here are some photos for parents to see their hard work π§
I have a pupil who has not been participating in practical lessons due to their confidence. I explained that if they tried to make the dish then I would post it on here tonight to show everyone how proud I amππ» I am SO SO proud of you!! Well done!!
