Happy Friday! 🙌☀️
It was great to present our @maindee_primary Assessment Vision to a fantastic group of @BAPrimaryUSW students this afternoon. We discussed how & why the right type of ‘data’ can inform teaching approaches to provide a holistic view of the child.
Today we have pitched, tried and tested our Curo’r llifogydd (beat the flood) water-proof house, which has taken three sessions!
Our group “H2O help” designed and built a house that could potentially survive a flood with a drainage system, plinths and a waterproof roof!
Today we created our own story books!
It is important as teachers that we get students to engage in reading and opportunities to create/explain their own homemade stories!

Year 1 had a fun time today exploring creative movement in the Foundation Phase. Here they are singing the rhyme ‘London’s Burning’ as a round. After this they explored movement through the welsh story ‘Bedd Gelert’.
Don't just teach your children how to be successful, teach them how to respond when they are not successful, teach them how to handle failures and learn from their mistakes. 🧠
This morning we learnt about teaching sustainability in Science and Technology. We created a sustainable home for our homeless baby squirrel. We hope he keeps fit and healthy whilst using his tree tunnels 😁 #Sustainability@BAPrimaryUSW
Today we created a shelter for a lonely squirel out of substainable materials!
This activity gave me alot of inspiration on how I can host a practical lesson and made me think about what I should consider when planning my own lessons😊
