A truly inspirational morning yesterday! @NKCSchools@GracemorNKC leaders, teachers & staff, including my wife & daughter, held a surprise parade delivering caring messages to Gracemor teacher @MissKaysKC! Slone is battling cancer. She inspires us daily & can’t wait to return!
Don't forget about DMH CARES today and every Tuesday at 3:30-4PM (CST)! Free resources for coping with disaster and crisis. Register here: https://t.co/uejCEsBVhI
Today brought our 2nd opportunity to connect in virtual PLTs! 1️⃣ thing hasn’t changed: @GracemorNKC teachers work tirelessly to meet the needs of our students! Their dedication, flexibility, and creativity in giving Ss a great eLearning experience is inspiring! #foreverGracemor
A2: The biggest need right now is how to help teachers find a balance in this new lifestyle. Our Ts are working their tails off to support students emotionally and academically, create new lessons, and provide feedback. We are working to structure office hours.#VirtualCoaching
I totally recommend reading “What Do You Do With A Problem?” to students during this time. I know kiddos can have anxiety & worry about not coming back to school after break. It’s a great time to have a conversation about how problems = opportunity to persevere & grow
Well, I finally found a small corner in my home to make a classroom!! Although it’s not near as warm and inviting as the real one, it will do for now 🤩 #1NKCSchools#ForeverGracemor@GracemorNKC
My amazing second graders were ALL STARS last night at the music concert! I’m so proud of all their hard work. Thank you for putting on an amazing show @Beccasue008! @GracemorNKC
It’s Monday! Today let’s:
