PASTORAL TEACHERS!
Advice needed - I am looking at how to reduce late to schools has anyone got any inspiration for me? Anything that has worked at your schools? TIA #edutwitter#schoolattendance
Today is International Women's Day and we've recently been showing our support for #BreakTheBias around the school. We also have an assembly about gender inequality and more planned.
Take a look at the video below to see how some of our students have been getting involved. ๐
Help needed! The psychology department at school has set up an EduTwitter but need some inspiration on who is good to follow for psychology CPD! Please give us some ideas @BPPsychology#edutwitter#psychology
THATS A WRAP! First week completed! I am exhausted, just about had enough energy to muster half a smile for the pic! I have absolutely loved getting back into the classroom -roll on the next few weeks! Shoutout to @ESmallwoodPE for getting me through! #NQT#edutwitter
Survived the first 8 weeks and what an 8 weeks it has been! My eyes have truely been opened to being a real teacher! Despite it being hard and sluggish on some days the reward is HUGE! Roll on half term and a big glass of gin! Congrats to others finishing their first half term ๐๐ฝ
Not had a washing machine for nearly 2 weeks, neither the landlord or property management are doing much about it! I just get โwe are chasing itโ. All very well but my partner is a front line NHS worker who now has no scrubs to wear because we have been unable to wash them ๐คฌ๐ค๐ก
Only thing getting me through my final few weeks of my first term as an NQT was knowing I get to spend a few days with my mum and sister who are both front line workers. I feel absolutely devastated and shattered ๐ญ๐ญ #edutwitter#NQT#BorisHasFailedTheNation
Starting to feel A LOT more positive about my NQT year now! Definitely exiting the trough of sorrow SLT have been warning me about! Hope you all have a lovely weekend #nqt#edutwitter#troughofsorrow ๐๐ฝ๐
Let's say an NQT is struggling, towards end of term 1, giving it everything, hours of work. Don't get a thanks, a well done, positive feedback, just intense scrutiny - all the time. Little development. Feel like they are bad at the job.
This is why the profession is shrinking.
