Teachers, when we use research-based instruction, & provide kids w/ chances to think & write about texts, & read lots of genres, & make choices about HOW they write & read: we are doing the work that helps them succeed. On the test AND beyond.

More than 3-4 weeks of test prep end up with diminishing returns & decreases reading volume.

You cannot move kids up reading levels through test prep materials, & reading level is directly correlated to how well a student will do on standardized testing.
