Nimrod Mkele was a South African journalist, psychologist, and anti-apartheid activist. As part of the famed Drum magazine era alongside literary giants like Can Themba and Henry Nxumalo, Mkele provided a distinct, socially conscious voice for Black urban life. A graduate of the University of Natal with a degree in psychology, Mkele used his academic background to become a leading expert on the Black consumer market in South Africa.
