8th graders may act too cool for school sometimes but this bunch definitely took time to look at their own work anytime it was added. I even heard one say “mines not up yet, I finished it!!” to a friend. I’ll showcase my favourite board when I get them all up! @MartinSt184

Day 1: “Ms Bal, can we go outside to get to know each other”. Day 2: “Are we going outside today, like 8-1 got to go”. Day 3: “Why can’t we go out and just do our thing not your activities”. Got some eye rolls but safe to say 8-1 & 8-2 enjoyed the class games @MartinSt184 🤭

@DebbieAxiak I think back to the fact that it was yours and in grade 8 (Ms Benjamin) first years, yet such memorable teachers! It’ll be my first physical classroom, mainstream grade and intermediate. Hoping to have a open & honest convo that will stick with them - not sure I’ll do it justice!

First Day jitters are definitely here before being back in Grade 8 since 2007/2008. Trying to remember what she appreciated. Luckily I remember the essence of convo from a 7th grade that stayed with me @DebbieAxiak 🤍
