This may be useful if you are in Year 6 and are being moderated for your writing. Annoyed at the GDS statements being too woolly, I worked through every moderation commentary pack and found practical examples to back up each strand with evidence.

Chen is thinking of a number. It's bigger than a breadstick but younger than his teeth. If Chen's number is an acute angle, then which bag does the maths test go in and what label do you put on it?

✨ Giveaway ✨
To spread a little joy in the run up to Christmas, I am giving away a book bundle to one lucky person to boost their classroom library in the new year ☁️🌈
To enter, just like & RT ✨
(Must be a UK resident & work in a school)
I am OBSESSED with our ‘How to Steal Christmas’ instructions based on The Grinch 🎄
The children loved it and I’m so proud of how much effort they put into their presentation ✨
Thank you @chloef23 for the inspiration 🖤
@primaryteachew@snootyfox4 We’re a TfW school so have the model text of ‘How to Tidy Your Bedroom’, practise with ‘How to Steal Halloween’ and then the children write ‘How to Steal Christmas’ based off The Grinch which we read and then usually watch in wet breaks. It’s one of my favourite units! 🥰
Being a primary school teacher is really weird when you think about it. One minute you’re teaching gymnastics and the next you’re teaching about the Stone Age
I've said this before, but it still needs saying. The books that we call "children's books" are really books written for an audience that includes children, but excludes no-one. They're books for EVERYONE - not some lesser form of literature, but the most important books of all!
Happy Saturday! Here’s a giveaway to start the weekend. #win a copy of Wildfire and a bar of Galaxy chocolate. Repost and follow to enter. UK only. Closes 09/10/23 at 11.59 pm.
Morning - I'm very happy to have a full class set of the brilliant Glitter Boy by @MrEagletonIan to give away via @ANewChapterBks.
Full class sets transform the reading experience for a class & this book is perfect for sparking rich class discussion.
RT for a chance to win.
