We’ve finished our mini-poetry task so tomorrow is officially the start of our supervillain era.

Just starting to plan our unit on subtraction. Like with the other formal written methods, we’ll transition out of the boxes, but they were such a useful scaffold in✖️ and ➗!

This worked so well for multiplication that I’m going to apply the same scaffold to short division. It’s such a simple thing but so useful.
