What a joy to see so many @WPSCoolidge grads at the Eisenhower promotion tonight! Loved seeing my first group of 4th/5th graders all grown up π Congratulations!! π
If you can make it please check out these incredible young leaders sharing strategies for climate change education. Brava to @FirstLadyNJ for elevating youth voices!
"We often talk about the ways in which we want to educate kids so they become the change makers that our society needs. We can't wait until they're in high school for that to happen.β @SonjaCherryPaul
βOne of the most powerful things we can do is help young kids understand that we're not just talking about name calling or unkindness that happens between individuals.β @SonjaCherryPaul

Replace books with harmful stereotypes that absolutely contributes to anti-Asian hate. Provide students with βreal stories of Asians who share our common thread of humanity.β TY @pacylin for this powerful virtual book exhibit. Every educator needs this! https://t.co/q6kIwEN7Mf
It's been amazing to see the 5F students so excited and inspired by their teacher outside of the classroom as well as in. We are all so lucky to learn from your example! Good luck on Sunday!
On race day, my students will be with me every step of the way. They have been part of my journey to 26.2 miles!

One of our Team 1 students was featured on ETV today to talk about her podcast about diversity. You can check her out on E-POD. Such an awesome step forward in conversations about inclusion and acceptance at EMS! #teamonederful@wyckoffschools@WPSEisenhower
This started last summer when I wanted to create a space where we just do math together. There are many PD opportunities for pedagogy but not many spaces to just do math. There's also an added benefit of taking these activities into our classrooms in the Fall. :)
Want to do some low-floor high-ceiling math with math teachers Wed 10-11am PDT in June and July? Sign up to participate or to host during our Math Summer:

Happy #EarthDay 5th graders enjoyed an entire day outside full of clean-up, planting, music, art, mindfulness & lots of movement. Most of all they learned how rewarding & fun it is to work together to care for our planet. Thanks to @Ms_Fournier and @CoolidgeGreen for organizing!
Happy Earth Day! While cleaning up in the woods at school, @WPSCoolidge 5th graders removed an old basketball hoop from the woods today that was probably "there for 100 years"...the teamwork was incredible! #community#gocougars
