P3 have loved exploring symmetry and pattern during @mathsweekscot
We used outdoor materials to create ABA patterns as well as AABB. We followed a sequence and just look at what we created! 🤩 @MrGibsonCV#Article31#Article28#Article29
Primary 3 had a brilliant final session with Jackie from @NYCOScotland
We used the sticks to play individual rhythms alongside the music; we had great fun. #Article28
P7 have been exploring poetry by Benjamin Zephaniah, Vanessa Kisuule, Lemn Sissay and John Agard as part of their studies in Black History Month. They have been very interested and challenged by the poems and we have learned a lot. #BlackLivesMatter#BlackHistoryMonth
After being an Acting Principal, I’ve now been appointed Permanent Principal. I’m so pleased and happy to have secured my position and I’m excited for the next school year! All the Monday meets with @ScotEdConnect and sessions with @EducationScot have helped immensely! #EdScotML
Some members of P4 became teachers today, sharing their knowledge and experience of Hinduism with the class. We were all fascinated and so impressed by the powerpoints, pamphlets and dancing that they had prepared.
- privileged to have brought a different perspective through Jo and Chloe’s tedxtalk. The menti and jam boards are full of rich insight and possible actions for change. Now to add to our Scottish Edu Connect person centred plan - and to write my first ever blog!
To whoever stole our minibus full of kit last night. You’ve not only stolen from a charity but also taken away the opportunity of an #inschooladventure from the pupils who had to miss out.
If you spot an Outward Bound minibus in the North East, let us know! #bringbackourminibus
We are so excited to have Creative Learning as the focus for this months SEIC newsletter! 🌟Have a read to find out more including signup for CLPL and the chance to get involved with Creative Conversations!
P7 have been designing their own garden. We had to include benches, ponds, bridges, sheds and a flower bed. We created a scale to make sure that our drawings were accurate.
