Week 5 of summer adventures we finished our energy debates. No videos/pictures unfortunately. My Ss did an excellent job researching their own energy source & the cons of the other ones to prepare for the debate. The last day we did class vs class all together. @OnslowSchools

Week 4 of summer school adventures Ss watched @Flocabulary about the Flint, Michigan water crisis and @edpuzzle videos on water quality. Ss then researched to created a water quality brochure using the rubric on @MicrosoftTeams.

Part 2: Week 3 of summer adventures at @SturgeonCityNC we looked at the water quality of the New River by observing the amount of wildlife. We may have also fished & crabbed. One student had never been finishing & caught her first fish! @OnslowSchools @SBMSPIRATES

Part 1: Week 2 of summer adventures we took a field trip to @SturgeonCityNC where we talked more about acidity, water quality and stewardship. @OnslowSchools @SBMSPIRATES

Week 2 of summer adventures we examined the periodic table. Ss created a poster & a @Flipgrid QR code so others could learn about their element. They had to include basic information, physical & chemical properties, Bohr model & Lewis structure.(posters hung as period table)
