@alzheimerssoc 2/2 whilst I recognise (and see) that sufferers lose bits of themselves as time goes on. To insuate they ‘die’ and their life is as good as over is totally disrespectful to people with loved ones suffering. We cling on to those little bits of them still there, it’s all we have.

Edward Hopper painted “New York Interior” in 1921. Seen through the window of her apartment, we glimpse a young girl fixing her clothes with her back to us. As is often the case in Hopper's work, we feel a sense of loneliness, an inability to communicate. A distance from events.
