Whole class feedback is a game changer for minimising workload whilst improving student outcomes. The method developed by @__codexterous is particularly great. Check out Andy’s approach in this one page summary.

Thanks to @MissCole279 for making this great Rosenshine-@WALKTHRUs_5 mapping. It gets into the detail of how to enact all these important aspects of teaching. Download it here https://t.co/yXTfvGoyY8
@CatherineRusht2 Hi Cat, only asking as I’m interested to learn- what is your motive for the ‘sit less move more’ initiative? Is there evidence that suggests being physically active assists learning? I thought this was a fad. Thanks
Next round of GCSE WSL revision games:
*Battle ships - Ss sim to destroy their opponent’s battlefield by winning the sweets if they answer the questions correctly using a MS.
*Question of Sport
*UNO - thanks again to @MrSetchellPE for the template! 🤩

@mrJ_JonesPE@Planet_PE@MissSmith_PE@pe_enthusiast@HWT_PE@MrHeslingPE@WannaTeachPE @TeachMeetPE I was thinking of doing something pretty chilled with them to try reduce stress/nerves, eg provide options of resources and be on hand to support. Break every 45 mins or so. All the hard work should have been done prior,so Tues should be all about increasing confidence 👍🏻
A simple but effective technique for retrieval practice!
- Ss summarise a topic/unit by telling a story.
- Idea from an excellent blog by @teacherhead👇🏼

This was a study I set for Y10 GCSE in preparation for their Short Course exam - Ss to apply as much content as possible to an athlete of their choice.
So impressed with the effort they put in. 🤩

First round of GCSE PE WSL fixtures:
1) Cone game - multiple choice quiz where a coloured cone represents an answer. Ss LOVE this! *Not my idea*
2) Bingo - teacher describes the key terms
3) Catchphrase
All required v.little planning time 🙏🏻

@PEandpedagogy I’ve not done it for a while but have tutored for years using Tutor Hunt. It’s easy money and it’s mostly online now which makes it even easier saving on travel time & money.
@Miss_BPE@WannaTeachPE Just a thought, you could have a different priority group each week/month so you can work more closely with Ss specifically on their weaker areas/ really stretch and challenge the more competent Ss
