Hedgehogs don't have a fight or flight response, so when you poke a stick under your bonfire the hedgehog hiding there won't come running out.
He'll curl into a ball.
And as you carefully light just one side and the first smoke fills his lungs, he'll curl tighter.

Why not make a hanging squirrel feeder with leftover pumpkin?Place string through the centre of them and hang up on a tree for the quarrels. Do not place on the floor as pumpkins are dangerous for hedgehogs 🦔 @Monnow_Primary
