I was at the Cheltenham Food & Drink festival yesterday. It was glorious. However it made a mockery of the no standing drinks receptions or no dance floor rules at weddings. There was a stage with 100’s people dancing at the front, & people EVERYWHERE walking around with drinks.

It's not the testing - weddings can do that.
It's not the environment - often similar venue styles, mix of indoor and outdoor (especially standing drinks receptions).
It's not track and trace - weddings nail this!

Really hope the media are wrong about tables of 6. Our venue (and many others) has long banqueting tables for 14. This would more than halve guests we can have and only so many tables will fit in the room. Usually laid out in long rows - do they now need gaps?! #whataboutweddings

We can't get back the ​dead, but at some point life needs to restart & weddings are the best place to begin. In normal summers 50 ppl/day die of flu. With tests/vaccines, weddings can be safe
