9/ The resultant pub and hotel was re-named `The Old Colonial', which the families ran for the next 22 years.
The Old Colonial is under the ownership of Marstons' Brewery who purchased it in 2010.

Attended a webinar by @gdmorewood talking about understanding #stress & coping as a whole school approach. He discussed the importance of focusing on external factors and school structures rather than #resilience within the child, listening to the child & having a calm approach.

He suggested being proactive rather than reactive when coping with stress, being flexible and having plenty of opportunities for #movement within the school day. He highlighted the need for a one page profile of personalised strategies & adopting a positive ethos.

@SeasideFerry I often think the 1920s still looks very modern. Every one seemed to have so much and adventures. My relatives had great days out to Weston and Weymouth. Weston old pier had water chutes and great rides. Frys choc factory in Bristol they played Rounders on the roof &days out.

Seldom visited beneath Plimsoll Bridge, "Brunel's Other Bridge" (or B.O.B.) was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel in 1849 as a tubular bridge on a circular track which could swing open to allow boats to come into the harbour. It's currently in desperate need of restoration.
