@mr_Alsheimer Ms. Jacobs!! Worked in BCPS literally the whole class was out of control when she started. By the end of the year, she had formed connections and bonds with at least half of us. Never gave up on us.

@lizajward1@amymayforrester Still unfair. The burden of other peoples children is already on our shoulders as a profession. So if a teacher decides enough is enough, he or she should not have to worry about ANYBODY elseโs at that moment.
I will grind myself into the ground to ensure academic success of students. Even at the expense of my own mental and physical health. But what I am NOT about to do is babysit behind a shower curtain whilst tangoing with the idea of possible death so the economy can โprosperโ. No!
Itโs long past time we pay teachers what they deserve.
The work they do is of extreme national importance โ and their salaries should reflect that.
When a child feels comfortable going to their teacher for help, itโs a sign of good leadership and a positive relationship in the classroom.
When a teacher feels comfortable going to their administrators for help, thatโs a sign of good leadership in the building.
