Through @unietd I was able to take Google Calendar Essentials Training to use for school, my everyday life, and hopefully in my future classroom! https://t.co/nyYLLVc6K6 via @lynda
As a future teacher who loves the idea of engaging students with project-based learning this is super helpful! I wonder if there this could be good visual/lecture for @UNIETD students in the future? It is also a useful diagram to connect Bloom's Taxonomy with #PBL! #pblchat
Are you new to #PBL? This graphic is an important reminder about the difference between "doing projects" and project-based learning. Download the graphic here: https://t.co/UcReDwL9T2 #pblchat#hqpbl
I can't wait to introduce interactive learning into my future classroom! Every child responds, grows, and learns differently. Individualized learning will make sure that every student is getting the attention and help they need. #unietd
Global Collaboration is the future of education! With technology our small classroom community can expand to involve people and students all over the world! Classroom Bridges is a great resource to use to easily connect your students with others around the world! #unietd
With the increased use of technology in the classroom it is just as important to teach kids about stranger danger on the internet as it is in person! #united gave us so many resources to show cyber safety in the classroom!
I loved learning about Information Literacy in #unietd this week! The part that stuck out the most to me was the information about filter bubbles. It really shows how important it is to get all sides of a situation.
Gamification is so important in developing curriculum in the 21st century! We are learning more and more about how kids don't learn by being talked at, they need something to engage their mind and gaming in the classroom is the way to do it! #unietd
Learned about in-depth copyright laws for the first time today! Throughout K-12 I was always told to just not copy things. I actually understand different laws of usage and know how to teach my future classrooms about them! #unietd
Diversity is a topic I am currently covering in 3 different classes! #unietd presented so many ways to include diversity in the classroom, my favorite being teaching greetings to students in multiple languages! @COE_UNI is unbeatable!
Visual literacy isn't really something I have learned about before but it seems so obvious after the fact. Just because the students we teach are young doesn't mean they don't benefit from formatting that is easy to understand. #unietd
Was recently introduced to @Google’s new feature of auto captions while my professor spoke into his mic.... not only were they very quick, they were almost 100% accurate too! What an awesome step of inclusion for my Deaf friends 🙂 #unietd
What's interesting about Bloom's Taxonomy to me is how all the levels build on each other. We classify them by lower and high levels of thinking, but without the lower level it is impossible to ever reach creative processes. We have to learn to crawl before we can walk #unietd
Teaching is not passing information onto students. Teaching is providing the necessary tools and healthy environment to facilitate student learning. #unietd
Years of research prompt a group of scientists to ask whether we should rethink the way we do school. Bringing the Science of Learning Into Classrooms / @edutopia https://t.co/Z8poMyJrWv
