@Lloyd_Cole Thanks for a magical evening, don't leave it too long. Your voice transcends time, 14 again with my sister, stolen cigarettes and a record player in a suitcase. β€οΈ
We're so proud to watch this and see clued-up, well-researched, innovative and pioneering teachers and students at King Ecgbert School leading the way on this hot topic.
@Emma_Turner75 Be careful and look who the underwriter is. Iβve had a terrible experience with my current insurance. 6 months after a no fault collision and still no helpful response. Avoid Makerstudy at all costs.
@RealGeoffBarton@paulhaigh@ASCL_UK@RealGeoffBarton as a DT leader I really appreciate you raising this. The subject is so misunderstood by many and seen as leading to trades rather than exciting evolving professions that can shape our world. @DTassoc are currently reaching out to teachers to address this.
@NetherEdgeHead @CBPender @MerciaTrust @PeteMcKee Thank you inviting me along to your opening and exhibition. Your students were amazing and talked passionately about the wonderful work they had done. What a fantastic space you have created for them.
@philholton1983@pearson There were many teachers disappointed when the technical awards didnβt get accredited, me included. It seems the most inclusive and also ambitious way forward. βrecouplingβ at A Level would be great when students are more experienced at designing and making.
@philholton1983@pearson 1/2 Decoupling the designing and making is a great move. The technical awards promised us this way forward but unfortunately government said no.
Students could excel in both rather being restricted by designing something and not being able to realise it fully in the time.
