😭💔 My heart is shattered into a million pieces as I share this devastating story. Yesterday evening at 6:00pm, a precious little baby girl, just 9 years old, was walking home from school in Bagamoyo, Nairutia. She was so close to safety, just steps away from her front door, when a monster grabbed her violently and dragged her into the dark forest.
He defiled her in the most brutal way imaginable. Then, with no mercy in his soul, he hit her on the head with a stone, strangled her, and left her there to die alone among the trees. He thought she was gone. This innocent child endured unimaginable pain, shock, and terror... her tiny body collapsed from the horror of it all.
But our brave little warrior fought to survive. God was watching over her. She was found and rushed to the hospital where she is now receiving emergency treatment. The strength of this 9-year-old girl in the face of such evil is beyond words, yet my soul cries thinking of the trauma she will carry. No child should ever know such suffering.
The man responsible is still out there. He is not known in the community, but after committing this unspeakable act, he had the audacity to walk into a nearby home in the same forest area and borrow a glass of water. CCTV cameras in that compound captured him clearly. The brave girl positively identified him from the image.
If you know this man, if you recognize his face, if you have any information about his whereabouts — please, I beg you, inbox me or report immediately to the nearest police station. He is dangerous. His intentions at that home were likely evil too. He must be caught before he hurts another innocent soul.

The pain in our community is heavy today. Let us stand together for this beautiful, brave little girl. Let us demand justice that matches the depth of this cruelty. Pray for her healing, for her family’s strength, and for swift action against this devil walking among us.

I miss Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

I just woke up this morning, thinking about her, and missing her so much.

She used to be everywhere, until 2020 happened, then 2021. It took her a very long time to come off that dark place.

And just when the light was shining on her again, a greater darkness appeared.

I miss her. I miss who she has always been. I miss her voice. I miss when she used to be everywhere.

I pray she finds strength in all of these.

My coworker used to take the long way home every night. Two extra bus stops, more walking, more money, more time. One day I asked her why she didn’t just take the shortcut alley behind our building.

Natgeo wild literally air a show with over 10 seasons called “snakes in the city” where this couple catches snakes for people,there you will find that finding three snakes hiding in one room is nothing at all.

But no .. we don’t like to watch documentaries .. you prefer Yoruba films.
