Today the children in my class did some end of unit papers for science and these are my 2 fave answers😂
- A young cow is called Colin
- I am a teenager (I’m sure if elderly was an option then I would’ve had a few of those as well)
If don’t laugh then I’ll cry…
Can’t believe I’ve had 2 graduations in one year and neither were in a temperature above 3 degrees🤣
Very grateful for such a wonderful day with family and friends🤍
The Children in Need bake sale was definitely a success!!
and I don’t know a single teacher that doesn’t want cake on a Friday😍
(I didn’t eat all 3 cakes but I wish I had)
It’s taken me a few days to take it all in…but I’ve officially finished my first half term as an ECT🥳
Lots of hard work, ups and downs, challenges and rewarding moments - bring on the next half term!! But first, a relaxing holiday🥰
So today I arrived at school at 7:30am and left at 7:15pm…knackered doesn’t even begin to explain it😭
but (day one of) my first ever parents evening is done!! It wasn’t nearly as terrifying as I thought it would be and I’m feeling slightly more relaxed about the one tomorrow😊
If all fails in teaching, maybe I’ll try my luck at being a cartoonist😂
Furthermore, this book will DEFINITELY be engraved into my brain by the end of the week
Week 1 as an ECT done🥳 (and I managed it without any tears😂)
Quite possibly one of the busiest weeks of my life but I’ve already achieved a number of things that I’m proud of and can’t wait to add to that list!!
Now for a relaxing weekend😴
and the book corner display is complete!🥰
Dan Santat is our class author and our book corner is based around his wonderful book “After the fall”! The children created the bricks that Humpty Dumpty is stood on but wanted to make them ‘happy colours’ to express his bravery😊
First day as an ECT✅
Today’s challenge was to try and not feel overloaded with all the information of the first INSET day😂 however, I still had a wonderful day meeting all the staff and feel a lot more settled and prepared for the students coming in on Monday! Exciting times😊
It’s arrived🥳😍 I was so excited that I’ve already started writing in it and organising things!
Can’t say that I’m usually the most organised person but I’m sure I will be with this to hand🤣
@mr_pimlett I love Look Up! One of my university lecturers showed it to us and it didn’t take me long to buy it😂 I haven’t heard of Counting on Katherine but I’ll definitely have a look!
Now that I’m not at placement everyday, I’ve been trying to find ways to occupy my time.
Today I made 36 colourful caterpillars for a transition day activity and look how cute they turned out🥹
I also found some wonderful books to read to them! Very excited for next week😊
@MissStalder They’re for a ‘get to know me task’. Im going to get them to write a fact about themselves on each part of the caterpillar😊 also means that I have a display ready before September has even come about😂xx
I’m meeting my new class next week!🥳 I’m joining them for 2 transition days and will be given time to do some activities together and get to know them. However, I feel like I haven’t got all that much planned.
Any suggestions?😊 @MrTs_NQTs
(they’ll be year 2 in September)
Everything is submitted, signed off and verified…I’m officially a qualified teacher🥹
3 years for my degree and then 1 year for my PGDIP and, finally, I’ve madeeeeeeee itttttttttttttt 🥳
