WOMAN TO WOMAN: Date sweet men. Men who are calm. Men who can communicate well. Men who are patient with you. Men who respect both you and themselves. Men who are kind to you. Men that are gentle. Men have have self control.
Major cheat code for life: Knowing when something is not yours to fix. Their mood. Their choices. Their drama. Love people, support people, but stop carrying what was never yours to hold.
I will never stop shouting this from the rooftops: the most underrated skill you’ll ever develop is the ability to genuinely enjoy your own life. Not someday, when you’ve healed enough, earned enough, or finally figured everything out. NOW. Because your life isn’t waiting for you somewhere in the future—it’s being built in the way you experience this ordinary Sunday, this cup of coffee, this conversation, this sunset, this breath.
I asked my therapist:
"What do I do when nothing in my life is technically wrong, but I still feel empty?"
She said:
"Grab a journal. Answer these 10 questions. Don't perform. Don't edit. Just answer."
Let's go:
my therapist told me learn to calm your own storm instead of venting to other people it sounds therapeutic to let it all out, but you're reinforcing your negative thoughts. it's no one's job but yours to pull you out of your own problems. journal, meditate, exercise and release.
I’m convinced that the most underrated trait in a romantic partner is that they bring peace into your life. Days are filled with enough chaos and uncertainty. Being able to come home to someone who defaults to emotional consistency, who creates a peace, is massively underrated.
The Shunamite Woman:
This is the most underpreached story in the Bible. And it contains the most dangerous life strategy you've never been taught.

4. Falling deeply in love: Yes, we all talk a lot about heartbreak, and for good reason, but falling deeply in love is one of the few things that asks you to become softer, kinder, better, and more intentional than you’ve ever been before. To learn another person’s habits. To think beyond yourself. To discover that being loved well can feel surprisingly ordinary in the best possible way. Whether it lasts forever or not, I hope you experience a relationship that makes you feel safe enough and loved enough.
I would only tell a man's daughter one thing, that most men are profoundly lost, frightened creatures who do not understand themselves, let alone you. they arrive with their needs poorly disguised as affection and they are so sturdily convinced of their own sincerity that they will fool you for months, sometimes years. and this is not because they are evil, it is because they are unfinished. and unfinished men do terribly stupid things to the women that love them and then stand there baffled at the wreckage, as if some other man inside them did it all. that so the one thing i would tell her is this, you will not be able to tell the unfinished ones from the finished ones by their words. you can only tell by what they do when they are angry, or tired, or scared. that is where you see what you are actually working with
Idk but Michelle Obama telling Barack “You told me all those years ago that you couldn't promise me the world, but you could promise me an interesting life. And, of course you outdid yourself and managed to give me both." is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard someone say to another 🥹
I’m convinced discipline is just the highest form of self-respect. It’s choosing what you want most over what you want now. It’s keeping your word. It’s an act of service to your future self.
Girl to girl: be that girl again.
Get disciplined again. Take care of yourself again. Eat better & move your body again. Oil your edges & drink your water again. Start praying & reading your Bible again. Get your money up and sleep 8 hours again. Find your spark and put yourself first.
Uncommon advice: If you don't know what to pursue in life right now. Pursue yourself. Pursue becoming the healthiest, happiest, most healed, most present, most confident version of yourself. Then the right path will reveal itself.
i love speaking with people who are more intelligent in a certain field than i am. it’s just great to sit back and listen to somebody educate you on things they’re passionate about.
