@imprincessbrii @UofSC Thanks for letting me know. It’s the last thing I need to be dealing with right now, especially when spring fees are due and the holidays. Thanks again for the response!
@imprincessbrii @UofSC I’m a teacher and don’t get paid for a month because of our winter break. You sure about it being fake? I am an online student so I don’t really get notices of spam stuff like that.
GOT MY TICKETS FOR ATL! SO EXCITED. My mom is seeing Taylor for the first time! This will be my second time seeing Taylor in my entire life and I cannot wait!!My students helped manifest this for me bc they know I love TS! @taylorswift13@taylornation13#TaylorSwift#TheErasTour
@TheDiemDinh@georgejroy I love the opportunity for them to collaborate but they need to make sure they understand the risks and consequences with being online. The stuff I hear and see sometimes with the google searches is shocking and definitely not age appropriate. 🤦🏻♀️
Social media in the classroom can be beneficial for students if it is used safely. There are different tools and ways that students can engage with each other on the internet. However, many students don’t know how to be responsible on the internet. @georgejroy#EDTE731SUMMER2022
@AshtonDoar @georgejroy I completely agree. My students are definitely experts in using technology and many of them are online but they don’t make good decisions sometimes. They don’t think before they act and that gets them in trouble. They need to be taught how to act online before doing anything.
@CarolynHall_USC@georgejroy I don’t think young children should be exposed to as much technology as they are. They should be playing and creating. Doing work with their hands. These kids are way too exposed to stuff online that is not always age appropriate.
@nicolebraun13@georgejroy I think creating lessons that are engaging is so important. Using technology/social media can be relevant to our students lives and make it fun but I sometimes wonder if it is worth it sometimes because some students don’t know how to use it responsibly. 🤔
I have seen many teachers use flip grid, tik tok, and Instagram to create videos, posts, etc. I think that when creating these types of projects, teachers need to make sure that their students are being responsible and on task while using those sites.
Many students use their computers to harass others, google inappropriate things, or play games. I think that computers can be useful when working on digital presentations. Students can collaborate and work on a project at the same time.
