I learnt that her school entered her short story (written entirely by using her eyes as she is non verbal) into the @YoungWritersCW competition. She did a fabulous job and now will have her story published. The moral is- there is always hope 🙏🏻🌟🌈

A bit of a personal post this evening. My 7 year old acquired a brain injury at birth due to negligence and her prognosis was as bad as it could be. She wouldn’t know who we were, wouldn’t know herself in the world. The doctors told me it was dangerous to hope. Well today

So, a member of SLT compared my lesson to ‘a chat in the skate park, rather than a teacher led lesson’ because my approach is a friendly teacher, rather than an absolute arsehole who just cares about the work we need to do, and nothing else.
