@JasonCocker7 I personally didn’t think it was too early - I’m also going into my 3rd year and applied, however I wasn’t backed by SLT (who need to give you a reference) and they said the workload is still a lot for this early on in my career. Depends on you and your school I guess!

As a teacher now, many of the students I teach come from families who did whatever they could to come to safety to the UK. And these students tend to have the most supportive families when it comes to academics and behaviour. Because of their immense sacrifice.

Might be a controversial take but does every single text we teach have to be ‘diverse’? As someone who isn’t white myself, I don’t constantly want to teach traumatic texts at KS3 under the guise of diversity and representation
