Phrases and words we should never use while teaching math. Game changer. This is one of the main causes of math misconceptions. I recommend that anyone who teaches math read "13 Rules That Expire" by Karen S. Karp, Sarah B. Bush, and Barbara J. Dougherty #NCTM2018
Used VR headsets to explore other countries. We created a flipgrid with the hopes of connecting with students from those countries. This was a major success and was enjoyed by ALL students!
Making math stick! These fine students were sent home with sticky notes to review what we've learned and to be able teach someone else at home the skills to make them stick! @WestwoodLoop@westwood475
@ErikaMorelandKS Students come up with a quote they would like to be focused on in the classroom. The kids vote on quote submissions and get to decorate the display. Then when Fri-yay rolls around they vote on a classmate that has shown the qualities of the quote and they get to take it home. :)
I am asking for some classroom materials that will help amplify student learning and personal growth next year. Use the code RIPPLE at checkout and donations will be doubled up to $50 for the next 7 days!
