🚨 A lecturer at University College London just told students that Jews murdered a Christian priest in Damascus so they could bake non-Jewish blood into bread for a Jewish holiday.
This is where we are now.
so, let me see if i understand this correctly? EBV can cause MS & lupus, but pwME [with onset after infection] need mandated psychotherapy & grit, not better-funded research & better-powered studies? make it make sense.
Gaza’s torture dungeons are now in hospitals: I just spent hours speaking to a dear friend (let’s call him Adam) in Gaza who is a humanitarian activist in a displacement camp, after he was arrested by Hamas’s fascist brigades and interrogated viciously in the al-Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip. This hospital, like all of Gaza’s medical facilities, has become a police, intelligence, prison, and torture center run by Hamas to ensure it maintains its grip on the people of Gaza.
He had no formal charge, except that one of Hamas’s intelligence agents/informants called in a tip about Adam “being in touch with suspicious external entities.” Adam is part of a network that services the humanitarian needs of civilians in a massive camp and works with international NGOs to deliver food, clothing, and a range of essential supplies to the people.
He described being in a metal cage, with 12 other people, inside the hospital, and a large piece of cloth covered them as medical staff whizzed by, and patients could be heard nearby. They were crammed in this cage, sitting down, with no food, bathroom trips, or access to light, except when they underwent rounds of interrogation and beatings. Adam gave the exact location I shared two days ago in a Tweet based on a conversation with another Gaza activist trying to gather stories of what Hamas is doing to ensure it’s grip on power is sustained at all costs: behind the outpatient department, the Yassin Center is where the cage was located, while the torture and interrogations were happening in the Hind Dagmah Medical Center.
Hundreds of Gazans are being captured, interrogated, tortured, imprisoned, and threatened every single day at the hands of Hamas in hospitals, which are all now sustained by the UN’s World Health Organization (WHO) and a whole host of international NGOs and nonprofits. It’s time to pull the curtains back and uncover the horrendous atrocities that a vile terrorist organization is committing in facilities that Western taxpayers fund to heal people, not enable Islamist fascists.
It’s time for the US Central Command, the UN, the Arab League, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, and every nation involved in the ceasefire to put Hamas on notice and say, “stop the use of medical facilities for terrorism.” It's time to get Hamas out of Gaza’s medical facilities – this has to be part of the International Stabilization Force’s (ISF) mandate: take on Hamas, fight the terrorists, eliminate them, destroy their tunnels and infrastructure, and end their ability to use billions of aid money to entrench their rule which is in service of their ultimate goal: the destruction of Israel and the establishment of an Islamist fascist state.

Maximal pressure must be sustained on Hamas by Qatar & Turkey to proceed to phase 2 of Trump's plan that requires the terror group to disarm & allow for Gaza to be ruled independently. If Gaza's recovery/rejuvenation fails, so will the West Bank & any hope of a Palestinian State.

You’re having a conversation with minimizing family members.
Their arguments
- It’s been 5 years, it’s enough now
-No one is wearing masks, not even doctors
-It’s just the flu now
-It’s here to stay, you can’t live like this forever.
What are your best rebuttals?
It shouldn't be controversial to acknowledge that Israeli hostages still held by Hamas should be released & should have never been held this long. I'm glad that Black Lives Matter, which also called for a ceasefire and disarming Bibi's regime, has taken a stance to distance itself from radical elements who see no issue with Hamas's actions or strategies. What's disturbing are the comments below this tweet, ranging from attacks, racism, delegitimization, and antisemitism, to classic dehumanization and one-dimensional thinking that somehow, acknowledging the humanity & innocence of Israeli hostages equals supporting the war in Gaza or the killing of Palestinians by the IDF.
There has also been a disturbing trend in recent weeks whereby some have mounted attacks against the black community for supporting Kamala Harris and not being “pro-Palestine enough.” This has understandably generated resentment between the two communities when both need each other now more than ever. Any form of allyship and display of solidarity toward the Palestinian cause and issue should be welcome and appreciated, even if it “doesn’t go enough” for some who promote maximalist narratives and views. It is about time that the idea of multiple things being true at once is acknowledged by organizations in the social justice activism space, demonstrating that you can be critical of Hamas and its actions without that being an insult against the Palestinian people.
Those who are offended by this BLM tweet are part of the problem, are unserious about effective activism, and do immense harm to cross-community relations, who should be key partners in the pursuit of rights and equality for the Palestinian people.
The latest wave of covid propaganda is to claim that ~covid anxiety~ is the biggest pandemic problem we're facing. I have yet to see the data. I have, on the other hand, seen mountains of data indicating structural and functional changes to heart, lungs, brain, and more. 🧵
People keep arguing that "outdoor transmission is rare", so I need to explain something.
Small iterated risks are certainties.
If you keep doing a dangerous thing over and over, you will get burned.

In the summer of 2020, before they went fully back, I spoke to three local schools about sourcing for them, at no cost to them, hepa filters for every classroom.
The heads said no.
One, a former science teacher, told me that it would stop kids catching essential viruses.
I don’t think people realize it yet, but this man does stuff daily to set us up for the future. When the dust settles and all this is over, history will judge him VERY kindly.
#TelAviv right now: Thousands of Israelis are back on the streets tonight calling for an immediate hostage release-ceasefire deal and the ousting of Netanyahu (who's vacationing with his family in Florida).
One lesson I learned from living with ME/CFS is that resisting wishful thinking is very important.
When I was in a desperate situation with no hope, I clung to every idea and belief that gave me hope. It was often a departure from reality.
