I have started consulting with the @UBPDcolombia in Colombia, training a group of 25 f anthropolog throughout the country. On this first trip I am in Bolivar/Sucre accompanying them in archaeol recovery of bodies of people who disapp during the conflict. Wonderful work with.
We're at Naledi Community Hall this morning, where @DOJCD_ZA Deputy Minister @JhjSA will shortly be leading the handover and reburial ceremony of the exhumed remains of PAC Member Ceylon Mabaso, as part of the Gallows Exhumation Project
Mr Ceylon Mabaso was one of the 6 PAC members executed by the apartheid government on 19/11/1965 at the then Pretoria Central Prison. Through the Gallows Exhumation Project his remains have now been returned to his family for reburial. Leading the event is Deputy Minister @JhjSA

The Missing Persons Task Team in @NPA_Prosecutes began searching for the remains of the Mamelodi 10 in 2005. Nine were recovered. From 2019 new drone technology was used to locate excavation sites & the remains of the 10th activist were found! Handover and reburial tomorrow 👇🏼

Deputy Minister of Justice & Constitutional Development @JhjSA addresses the family of deceased PAC detainee Bellington Mampe & @MyPAConline members at Worcester prison as part of the @DOJCD_ZA and @NPA_Prosecutes program to find resolution for victims of past political conflict
PAC member Bellington Mampe died at Worcester prison in 1963 after 140 days in security detention Today the @DOJCD_ZA@NPA_Prosecutes@JhjSA and Mampe family conducts his symbolic release from prison and Symbolic Reburial, as his remains could not be located.
Today, Bellington Mampe's family will take his spirit from the Worcester prison where he died in 1963, back to Mbinzana village near Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape.

Hopefully they can get their degrees next and can take up good jobs upon their release.
Using their brains for the good of society should be the goal and we should ALL support them.

On Friday 10 June the remains of missing Robben Island prisoner James Booi will be exhumed from an unmarked pauper grave in Zamdela cemetery, Sasolburg, by the Missing Persons Task Team in @NPA_Prosecutes. Exhumation will take place from 10 am to 1pm. 1/
His family never knew what happened to his remains & searched for him for decades. The MPTT traced him to a pauper grave in Zamdela. He will be exhumed in the presence of his family & reps from @robben_island & Eastern Cape DSRAC @DepartmentSport 3/

Kaizer Matanzima was to be assassinated by the PAC group at Qamata Great Place. His son Dalimvula Matanzima met with the families this morning and they embraced. Dalimvula also spoke at the handover of the remains, which took place at Qamata itself.
