Staying alive is more stressful than dying.
At least when you die you will not feel a thing.
We never had a choice, and when we do it’s about choosing to stay and die or leave and lose everything you worked for.
Most Palestinians born to be one of those things: A martyr, a prisoner, detained or living with a big suffer.

Last week @Brandon4Chicago stopped by our school in Austin & briefly spoke to some of our school community. There were so many beautiful parts, but since seeing the commentary about our youth since Saturday, his response to a student ? stands out as especially powerful . 🧵

Our student asked, "what are you going to do to keep us off of the streets?" & he shared some of the initiatives they're working on. Then he gently reframed her question, " it's not about keeping you off of the streets, it's about providing opportunities
