@joerghoh AEM devs shouldn’t even exist! You’re either a Front-End dev, Java dev or rarely both. AEM devs are typically grads who were fast-tracked onto AEM courses to keep up with demand (usually off-shore). They missed out on Java foundations and have outdated Front-End practices.

@GabrielWalt @AnfibiaCreativa @joerghoh That I do agree with :) But getting devs to agree with the mark up of the core components is a tough ask. We can be quite opinionated on whether the mark up is semmantically correct, BEM naming, https://t.co/KtfrM3dA65 attributes, AMP mark up, etc.

They need to understand thaf AEM might not be the only system that requires a UI and so building a separate front end framework makes complete sense to encourage a consistent fro t end standard and look and feel thru a company.
