John Mitchel GAC are saddened to learn of the death of Arthur Ruddy, a founding member of the Club, a championship winner , administrator, team manager and club Referee. Arthur gave outstanding service to Club, filling many roles over the decades.

The members of Newry Mitchels GFC wish to reiterate the support for fellow member and County Secretary Seán óg McAteer, we are heartened to see the County unite behind a man that gives his all on a daily basis for the betterment of Down GAA.
