@Ameerao_@kasubasikamo_ This right here.. 😅😅😅 You have said with your heart. Y'all take things too seriously. Besides most of you claim not to be African you did.
He created my first Facebook page. One day, he brought a short clip of me reading news and he forcefully posted it on my page. That’s how Francesca found that clip and showed it to Costa who called me for a meeting. The rest is history.
“Mwaiche, you have a great talent and you’re going to be big; but not more that me. Me I’m big,” he would say jokingly when we worked together at Q FM.
The day of his death, I was reading the news. His story did not air on Diamond TV because immediately I got to that story, I just froze and couldn’t find the courage to read the story.
The director and Head of News then, George Chomba, simply called for a break and rushed into the studio and said, “Let’s skip that story. We’ll reserve it for another bulletin.”
After the news, I got into my car and tears were rolling down my face all the way home. Caristo Clear. A week before his untimely death, he came to see me at Diamond and we sat in the car park for about an hour. He was telling me that he wanted to rebrand himself.
“Teach me to read news like you mwaiche!”
I used to meet his mom every time I flew on Proflight and I used to avoid her because I’d always feel so emotional.
He crossed my mind today. I miss him.
Every time I pass that bill board of "Big mama Market" I become nostalgic. I miss you dearly big mama. Keep resting in peace. I just wish my kid got to meet you in person... Then she would be made like me + more. She is twice me. And am proud.
