Hot take, this is the right move in my opinion, unfortunately the Fed waited far too long into the Biden Admin to start the rate hikes, then they responded to horrible inflation acceleration rates by agressively hiking rates to catch up on their lack of inaction. Now, they're being cautious. Do I like it? No. Is it the right move? Probably.

Also, we're talking about a difference of 5% roylaities over 1 million in revenue vs a 30% across the board cut PLUS a 99$ per year developer license fee. Epic supports the little guys, Apple spits on them.

People don't understand the value of what Epic (and Tim) are fighting for here. The impact of this decision doesn't just affect Epic but all 3rd parties that don't want to pay apples ridiculous 30% app store cut. In 2021 a court decided that apple must allow developers to direct users to alternate payment systems in order to not be called a monopoly, they did but then they slapped a very scary warning on apps that do that so that end users would be deterred from doing so. Its ridiculous and not a good way to conduct business.
