Let me introduce you to Aida Rostami, another hero from my country, Iran.

She was 36 years old. A general physician.

During January arising in 2026,, while the streets of Iran were filled with injured protesters, Aida chose to do help them. She was a doctor. Her job was to save lives.

Quietly and anonymously, she traveled to homes in western Tehran,l, to provide medical care to protesters who were afraid to go to hospitals because they feared arrest, torture, or worse.

On December 12, 2022, Aida left her home of one of the injured protesters to get medical supplies. She never came back.

The next day, her family was called to a police station and told that Aida had died in a car accident.

But when her family saw her body, they saw something very different.

Her hands were broken. The right side of her face was crushed. Her nose was shattered. Her left eye had been severely injured. There were bruises across her body.

Her family questioned the official story. And then the story changed.

First, they said it was a car accident. Later, authorities claimed she had fallen from a pedestrian bridge.

Her family continued to reject the official accounts.

And later, her brother released an audio recording that shed light on the pressure security forces had placed on the family. They took her life.

Aida was not carrying weapons, she was carrying medical supplies. She was treating wounded people.

I have a question:

How many people outside Iran know the name of Aida Rostami?

How many doctors around the world know the story of a physician who risked everything to treat injured protesters when hospitals were no longer safe?

Not for a minute. An hour. Maybe longer. The dog is on the battery box, soaked, then jumps into the standing water and runs the length of the leash like it is trying to get out of its own skin. The cab is right there. The driver is not.

The door says Diamond Express, Spearman, Texas. USDOT 3968735. That number is on the truck for a reason. Companies do not get to hide behind a logo while a dog sits in the rain like cargo.

You do not bring an animal on the road so you can park it outside while you eat. Call the company. Call animal control where this lot is. Make them answer for it.

In UP's Sambhal, a govt survey has found a mazaar and 10 adjoining residential structures illegally built on 3350 sq m of land in Sher Khan Sarai area

The land, as per the survey, belongs to an Arya Samaj trust and Gram Sabha

A govt survey identifying encroachment is enough for concerned departments to carry out demolition. But it is often seen that officials hesitate to issue written demolition orders because they do not want to take the responsibility

Files remain pending, encroachments continue for years and are often expanded further

I saw this process up close when we, with @BhaiPreetSingh, worked on the illegal Ramlila Maidan-Turkman Gate mosque complex till its demolition in January after Delhi high court order

Demolition is also delayed because of excessive misleading communal propaganda, which has now begun in Sambhal as well

From the real issue of land ownership, they always try to shift the narrative to "mazaar is 100 years old" and "we have electricity bills”

Leaving the facts here because it's going to go this way and global media will write half-truths like - "mosque demolished on disputed land'

But govt officials must act on the findings of their own surveys and records. Citizens should not have to go to court just to make them enforce the law.

Two North African teens, aged 15 and 16, stabbed 45-year-old Spanish father of two Carles Vilajosana to death in Manresa near Barcelona, as the city’s annual Festa Major celebrations were ending.

Vilajosana, a well-known local resident and father of twin children, suffered a fatal stab wound to the chest. Emergency responders tried to save him, but he died at the scene.

Manresa declared a day of official mourning, and around 300 people gathered for a minute of silence for Vilajosana.
