The Bitaale Health Center in Bitaale village, under Galkayo District, was officially opened.
The ceremony was attended by the District Health Coordinator, Abdikarim Abshir Isse, alongside the Deputy Mayor of Galkayo and other local health officials.

The year 2025 marked a period of remarkable growth and transformation for the Galmudug Ministry of Health (GMOH), driven by shared efforts from government leadership, development partners, and frontline health workers. Through collective dedication, the Ministry made significant progress in expanding access to healthcare, improving infrastructure, and strengthening health governance across the state.
1.🏥 Expansion of Service Delivery
• • Extended essential health services to 13 new health facilities across Galmudug.
• • Commissioned three new hospitals in Dhuusamareeb, Xarardheere, and Elder districts.
2.🧱 Infrastructure Development
• • Initiated construction of 5 major facilities in Dhuusamareeb, Abudwak, Galkacyo, Guriceel, and Adado.
3.🚑 Emergency and Referral Systems
• • Supplied 4 ambulances to enhance emergency response and referral linkages.
4.⚡ Electrification of Health Facilities
• • Electrified 30 health facilities, including key hospitals, ensuring reliable power supply.
5.💻 Health Facility Digitalization
• • Equipped 37 health facilities with modern computers and solar systems.
6.🧼 Rehabilitation and Sanitation
• • Rehabilitated 38 facilities with new latrines, placenta pits, incineration units, and waiting areas.
7.🏢 Institutional Development
• • Expanded and renovated the GMOH headquarters to improve staff workspace.
8.⚖ Policy and Legal Framework
• • Finalized the State Health Professionals Act to strengthen regulation and accountability.
