The workshop also focused on identifying priority actions, implementation timelines, departmental responsibilities, and technical support required to strengthen the Ministry’s performance, coordination, accountability, and public service delivery.
The Minister of Internal Security launched a 10-day training program in Mogadishu for instructors of the Somali Police Force, aimed at improving their skills and the quality of police training.
Funded by the Government of Japan and held at the General Kaahiye Police Training School, the program is part of a joint initiative involving @aussom_ , the African Union mission in Somalia, and focuses on strengthening police capacity and improving security services.
The initiative will also be gradually expanded to regional states to enhance police effectiveness at regional and district levels.
