@Inewton4prez @RodKahx Nobody voted for the 90 additional candidates on the ballot. They voted for Fanjoy and Polievre. Fanjoy campaigned in the riding for 2 years. Polievre was MIA. Fanjoy deservedly won by 4,000 votes. End of.

@mymaats @myabradshaw78 Nothing to red flag here. Not ideal but not illegal. Carleton residents were well aware of the number of candidates on the ballot. The deadline to register as a candidate was 21 days before election day. Over 80,000 had no trouble marking an X for Poilievre or Fanjoy.

Tax dollars do go towards running elections, always have. But never toward political party campaigns; they fundraise their own $$.
